Marianne Su-Yin

Marianne is a successfully crowdfunded independent children’s author and illustrator based on the Isle of Wight. A degree in Economics led her into an early career in legal PR and Marketing in the City. Since moving to the Island she combined her personal interest in historical fashion and practical skills to set up her own online business making bespoke vintage dresses. Her debut book, On the Trail of the Missing Pets, is set in 1940s wartime London and was launched this summer. Designed to compliment the Key Stage 2 primary school history curriculum she now spends her time visiting schools with her book to support learning. She is currently completing the second in the series set at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight whilst Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were in residence with their family.
