The Uncommon Prison of Henry V Henry
- This event has passed.
Simon Bullivant
In his debut crime fiction, The Uncommon Prison of Henry V Henry, Simon Bullivant tells the story of a man’s transformation from a marginalised, almost invisible human being, who inhabits a world of his own creation, to an individual who begins to find the means to escape—the eponymous “Henry” is an unusual detective and unlikely hero.
Simon says, “As to the title character himself, I would suggest that perhaps there is a little of Henry in all of us—not necessarily in the crime solving sense, but in the way that we can sometimes find it hard to break old habits or free ourselves from behaviours and things which no longer do us any good”.
Comedy writing talent Simon is in conversation to discuss his background in creating, writing and producing some key comedy panel shows in radio and TV over the past 20 years and his influences and inspiration when embarking on writing a “crime” novel.
