JOHN KISZELY
John Kiszely grew up on the Isle of Wight at Totland Bay and
spent his summer holidays sailing at Yarmouth.
He served in the Army for forty years, including on
operations in Northern Ireland, the Falkland Islands, Bosnia
and Iraq.
His appointments included those of Assistant Chief of the
Defence Staff and Director General of the UK
Defence Academy.
He has been a visiting professor at Kings College London
and is an associate research fellow at the Changing
Character of War Centre at the University of Oxford.
His latest book General Hastings `Pug` Ismay: Soldier,
Statesman, Diplomat was published in May 2024.
