General Sir Mike Jackson

General Sir Mike Jackson served almost 45 years in the British Army, the last three (2003-2006) as Chief of the General Staff and Head of the Army. He served nearly 6 years in Northern Ireland, commanded British Forces in Bosnia 1994-5, and was the NATO ground forces commander in Kosovo 1999. His service included time in the Caribbean, the Far East, Germany and the Middle East. Since leaving the Army he has followed a portfolio career : writing an autobiography and articles, speaking, lecturing, advising.
