Peta Rainford

Peta Rainford is an Island-based author and illustrator who mainly writes rhyming picture books, mainly for 4-8 year olds (though Peta doesn’t really like to put age limits on books). Peta will be reading her brand new story, Jacob Stark Loves The Dark at this year’s Youth Zone. It’s all about a little boy who is afraid of the dark, until a night-time visitor shows him the wonder of the planets and stars and how all of us – every flower, moth, hedgehog and human – need the dark to survive. Come along and hear Peta’s new story – especially if you are afraid of the dark, interested in space, or love hedgehogs (and who doesn’t love hedgehogs?)
