Patrick Gale

Friday 6th October 13:40 - 14:40 | LitFest Marquee

Patrick Gale will be exploring how he came to write a novel about Charles Causley, whose poetry still matters, his fascinating career as a naval coder during World War II and how it may be what turned him into a poet. Gale will also talk about motherhood, Cornwall, the Home Front, and secret gay lives in pre-1968 England.
