The Habit of Excellence: Why British Army Leadership Works

  • This event has passed.

Langley Sharp

Friday 7th October 16:20 - 17:20 | Performance Marquee

Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) Langley Sharp MBE, who served as head of the Centre for Army Leadership (part of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst), distils over three centuries of the Army’s experience in the art, science, and practice of leadership. Drawing upon dozens of examples of both famous Army figures, from Wellington to Montgomery, from Brooke to TE Lawrence, as well as the experiences of servicemen and women in Afghanistan, Northern Ireland and Iraq, Sharp offers a dynamic account of Army leadership in action. He outlines the future challenges for the Army, where AI will play a greater role but the human element will be more vital than ever.
